There are plenty of ways to explore the Wild and Scenic Chattooga River. Take a guided raft tour with the experts at Wildwater, Nantahala Outdoor Center, or Southeastern Expeditions, all of which are just minutes away and ready to amaze. Expert yourself? Rent a kayak or ducky at the Chattooga Whitewater Shop just up the street. Prefer to watch the action from the shore? We are six minutes away from the famous class IV rapid Bull Sluice. Head down to the boulders and enjoy.

Hike.

Ready for some spectacular wilderness? Put your hiking shoes on and head to the amazing Long Creek Falls, Opossum Creek Falls, Riley Moore Falls, Brasstown Falls, Issaqueena Falls at Stumphouse Tunnel, and dozens more within a short drive. For a short hike just up the street, try Reedy Branch Falls. Ask us at the lodge for a local waterfalls guide, or just head out and explore. We are surrounded by nature’s finest here, and you’ll never run out of things to see.

Live.

We’re less than a mile from the spectacular Chattooga Belle Farm, where you can grab a delicious meal at Belle's Bistro, sidle up to the bar for a tasting at the distillery, pick a basket of berries, or just sit and watch an amazing sunset over the mountains. Of course, don’t miss breakfast and coffee at The Gauge Coffee House and pizza at at Humble Pie! Spend an afternoon or enjoy a full meal at any of the restaurants in downtown Clayton just 15 minutes away. Let them nibble out of your hand at Goats on the Roof, take a daytrip to Tallulah Gorge, or spend a day getting Bavarian in Helen!
