Arrival

We guarantee a check in time of 4pm, but we usually text around noon to let you know if your room or campsite is ready. For rooms, this text message will normally include your door code. Checkout is at noon. If nobody is supposed to arrive, you can check out later as long as you stay with your stuff and let us know. Please do not leave items unattended after noon on your checkout day.

The Creek

Long Creek is a beautiful exhibition of nature. Please enjoy the creek, but DO NOT BUILD DAMS, rock structures, or otherwise alter the natural flow of the creek. Doing so can harm our wildlife and cause erosion, and you may be asked to leave.

Hammocks

Hammocks are allowed as long as they are equipped with tree straps that will protect our trees from damage.

Noise

While we are a music friendly place, we need to be respectful of our fellow campers. Quiet hours are 11pm-8am. Outside of quiet hours, regular radio music at low volume, or a single acoustic guitar around a campfire are permitted as long as we do not receive any complaints. Loud amplified speakers such as PA style speakers are not allowed at any time. During quiet hours, any noise that can be heard at a neighboring campsite is too loud.

Alcohol

Responsible use of alcohol is permitted at campsites and in guest rooms. Open liquor bottles, cases and coolers of beer, etc must be kept inside rooms or on campsites. Individual drinks may be brought elsewhere on property, including designated tables for rooms, but not to the courtyard tables or inside the restaurant. Underage drinking is strictly prohibited.

Smoking

There is a no smoking or vaping policy in the lodge rooms. Smoking and vaping are allowed outside in breezeways, patios, and courtyard. Please be courteous to other non-smoking guests. There is a $300 cleaning fee for smoking in the rooms.

Damages and Breakages

Please report any incidents when they occur, so we can fix them right away. We understand that things do break, and we can’t fix what we don’t know about. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you or your pet cause to the accommodation or its contents.

Cleanup

Please do not leave trash, tents, or other belongings on your campsite. Trash can be disposed of in the dumpster by the lodge. We will charge a $100 cleanup and disposal fee if campsites are not left clean and empty.

Liability

We do not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves, our employees, or contractors while acting in the course of employment.

Pet Policy (please read fully if bringing a pet!)

We love our four legged friends, and Chattooga River Lodge and Campground welcomes up to two pets of any size at any of our campsites for free, or in any of our pet-friendly lodge rooms for a $25 pet fee. Group sites may have up to 4 pets. In general, pets must be kept on a leash and under control at all times. Please bring proof of current vaccinations. DO NOT BRING PETS WITH A HISTORY OF AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR OR BITING. Pets may not be left unattended without prior agreement. Excessive barking or disruptive behavior is not permitted and you may be asked to leave. Only service animals are permitted inside the main lodge. Please see the ADA website for details. Not all lodge rooms are pet friendly; please be sure "pet friendly" is listed as a room amenity. Flea protection is required for pets staying in lodge rooms. We reserve the right to refuse lodging or camping to any pet for any reason.

Campground Rules

Please review our campground rules, which are also posted in the bath houses.
